The inner masochist.
so yesterday I went to the amusement park with Adam and his family. for the majority of the time it rained, which really kind of sucked but we were getting wet at the water park anyways, but the wind totally sucked. (blue bayou and dixie landin')(tickets are relatively cheap, food is not, so i recommend leaving because you can get back in FO' FREE, and going to church's across the street.)(the park has bitchin' ice cream, though.)
some things i rode:
azuka. reaction: weeee! there's a drop and then you go side to side in something like an oversized funnel.
voodoo. reaction: OH SHIT I CANT SEE ANYTHING OH GOD IM GOING DOWN THE DROP BACKWARDS. you go around a curve then a drop then through a toilet commode shaped thing (all in pitch dark.)
the sidewinder. reaction: *watches the floor disappear* "this isn't so bad. okay this is a little higher. HOLY SHIT!!" you swing back and forth while the main seat thing spins in a circle (not that fast) you become perpendicular to the ground at the highest point, i believe. you are either facing the ground or the sky at the highest points. i'm not sure which is scarier.
XTREME. alternate spellings: extreme, or according to the website, extrem. reaction: OH FUCK my head almost hit that pole! except it really didn't, theres just a lot of poles so it seems that way. also i nearly lost my glasses. while you are riding the track the seat spins constantly.
HOT SHOT MUTHAFUCKAS. reaction: WOOAJSKGDFHSGWOO! first you shoot up, then bounce up and down, then go all the way to the top, then shoot down. 200 feet BITCH.
the ragin' cajun. reaction: *cries* *silent* if you notice that incline at the very right, they crank you up there first so you can gain speed. it wouldnt have been THAT bad if we werent in the very last car and thus the highest and nearly vertical and feeling like i was going to fall out so i cried. then when we started i was so scared i couldnt even scream. XD the beginning was the worst part.
galaxy. reaction: i think we are gonna fly off the tracks! the spiral parts feel like you just keep on gaining speed until you think you're gonna shoot off. luckily, you don't.
it was: me, adam, brittney, micah, christine, riley, jasmine, dion, kade, and adam's mom. brittney, micah, and christine are adam's siblings; riley, jasmine, dion and kade are nieces and nephews (technically 1 niece, 3 nephews). riley kept following adam, brittney, and me, but he didn't want to ride any of the rides we did, and it totally sucked because he knew we were going to ride them and he whined and stuff. dion however, will ride EVERYTHING but he was with micah because micah likes to ride everything too. we spent some time in the pirate cove which is the kiddie area. it was fun seeing how excited kade and jasmine were for these little slides. i went down a slide with jasmine, it was fun.
Chance of communication?
It had just finished raining, on one late and very cold evening. Of course, the temperature drop was due to the weather, but it was already cold enough before the rain. A steady sound of footsteps could be heard by those in the vicinity, the soles of the shoes making a wet smacking sound, and as the figure turned, it sounded like a rock being scraped across concrete. The hooded figure was a girl, low in stature, and high in tension. As she exhaled she seemed quite like an angry dragon, steaming out of his nostrils. The hood covered most of her cropped hair, but black bangs crept outward. The sound of smacking made way for squishing as she went from concrete to cut grass, pools of water hidden beneath the bright green blades. A small park laid out before her, with no one in sight. The dragon exhaled loudly once more, then made way for the swing set. The seat was cold but the chains were colder, and she lazily went back in forth, a creaking sound piercing the otherwise silent night.
"Where have you been?" she whispered, the words floating away with the condensation.
-To be honest, I'm not sure why I haven't been writing at all....It's not that I'm preoccupied with anything, in fact, I'm really bored most of the time. I guess I'm feeling disconnected with certain things. I don't really want to talk about that though. Work has been good but busy. I am lucky to have been hired when I was, because I over heard my boss interviewing someone and said the starting wage was 8$/an hour (I started at 11.) Clearly I am lucky, but even more than that, I suppose she is running low on funds. Hopefully all of the summer students will decide to sign on for a contract during the year...it's interesting the relationship I feel between myself and these kids. There are only four students I don't like that much...they don't realize what their moms are paying for them to be here, but also it seems like they might not be disciplined that much either. They seem to find nothing wrong in distracting other students and it's hard for me to discipline them. I can't yell at them, but I don't want to have to, either. I remind them several times to focus, to calm down, to do their work, offer extra rewards, and nothing works at all...What's even better is that we went from four instructors, to two, and I am the one who always works the most. There is not really a problem with this personally, I am making a lot, but I don't find it fair that I have to work by myself all the time...
Today was the Children's Expo, sponsored by Bless the Beast, which is a no-kill pet adoption center/pound. And there was a person in a Scooby Doo costume, which was actually a very nice costume. I didn't go up to Scooby, but I saw him several times as I sat outside, watching little kids run around. We had people come up to us about information...I feel really shy when it comes to "selling the program" but I have to do it. I hope we benefit from the advertising we did today.
I feel like I need to really update what's going on in my life, but really...it's not much. I sleep, wake up, go to work, come home, chill out, get Adam (when his car is not working) come back home, chill out, shower, go to bed, repeat. Monday through Thursday. Fridays I am off unless I am going to Lake Charles, which by the way, I am going to Lake Charles this upcoming weekend, I am working though, in the mall. Tax free weekend. woo!
I am ready for school, though, because I am taking Chemistry this semester and I'm very excited for it. We start on the 24th, I think this is true for most of my friends, even though we go to different colleges. I hope Chemistry is as good as I am hoping it is....I hope Physics isn't as hard/suck as some make it sound...I hope that I am more responsible this semester.
Also, Korean food is the shit. I am getting healthy doses of it as I go to Lake Charles and I feel like I am in food heaven. What other foods are good? I need to know so I can try to find it and then eat it and be happy.
